About
Confronting Complexity is my way of processing my thoughts on complicated topics and sharing my journey with you.
Here is what you need to know about me:
I am not a pastor or a theologian. I am a Jesus follower who is doing her best to fathom an unfathomable God and His profound love for me.
I strive to act as a social justice advocate, but I know that I have my own biases to overcome and I am still a work in progress.
Politically, I used to call myself an independent, but #45 pushed me over the fence toward anything that opposes him or his practices. I’m a Democrat now.
I am intentional about all of my relationships. This includes being a role model to my nieces and nephews, a supporter for my friends and honest in romantic relationships (and honest with myself during a lack thereof).
Career-wise, I live a year at a time. Last year, I was a teacher. This year I am a writer. Who knows what next year will bring.
I do not believe literature needs to be complex to be valuable, but my favorite novels are the ones that make me think about things in a new way. I am an aspiring author because I have a story that needs to be told.
